Throughout history, knowing God has always been a progressive experience. In the Bible, we have a large amount of data about the way of knowing God and his ways. For instance from David, Solomon & Jesus we have:
There is a proper time & procedure for every matter under the sun.

God conceals his ways from sophisticates and know it alls, but spells it out clearly to ordinary people – not this last political election.

Don’t leave the God ordained path and chase your own path. It will only lead to a downward spiral. As an aside, you could make poor choices in life if you feel the plan is not moving fast enough for you or you think there is an apparent lack of fulfillment.

Wait passionately for God, don’t leave the path. He will give you your place in the sun while you watch the wicked lose it.

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps

The plans of the diligent (the alert and determined) lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.
